We are dedicated to using sustainable materials. That’s why we use GOTS certified organic cotton for our first collection of shirts.

We love organic cotton because this cotton is grown on fields where the farmers use natural resources and methods only. The cotton is hand-picked and no chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.

The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic statues of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.

On the website of GOTS is stated that only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibers can become GOTS certified. The fabric we use contains 95% organic fibers (and 5% elastane).

ANNA Slow Fashion buys their certified organic cotton in the Netherlands from Bo Weevil, check out their website at:

The fabrics we use are produced in Turkey, where they are knitted using high-quality Turkey Bergama cotton. You can find the GOTS certification of Boweevil on their website.

To ensure a socially responsible production of the actual shirts, we teamed up with Sûr-Atelier in Haarlem (the Netherlands) who made our clothes and are also embracing slow fashion.
